CENTRALITY OF FAITH

Romans 1:5 ESV  through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations,

Romans 3:26 ESV  It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Romans 3:28 ESV  For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

Romans 4:5 ESV  And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,

Romans 5:2 ESV  Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 14:23 ESV  But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.

2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV  for we walk by faith, not by sight.

Galatians 2:20 ESV  I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Ephesians 2:8 ESV  For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,

Ephesians 6:16 ESV  In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;

Hebrews 6:11-12 ESV  And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end,  (12)  so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 10:38-39 ESV  but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him."  (39)  But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.

Hebrews 11:6 ESV  And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Living by FAITH in FUTURE GRACE

Living upon God – living upon His future grace.

Future grace – God’s promises to His people of His help

Faith: being satisfied with all that God is (and promises to be) for us in Jesus.

Lamentations 3:21-26 ESV  (21)  But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:  (22)  The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;  (23)  they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  (24)  "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him."  (25)  The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.  (26)  It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.

Selah

Psalms 71:5-6 ESV  For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O LORD, from my youth.  (6)  Upon you I have leaned from before my birth; you are he who took me from my mother's womb. My praise is continually of you.
